Update: I Am Once Again Splitting Articles

I just published an absolute banger of an article to make up for a potential lack of content in the future.

After seeing the success of my most recent article, I wanted to throw a quick update your way.

Drawing for Articles

I recently published An Intro to Topology. I would normally use manim CE or some homemade code to generate the images for the article as I’ve done in previous articles.

The Road to Quantum Mechanics, Pt. 3: How to Use PDEs to Model Reality
How to Discover Finite Fields While Bored in Class, Pt. 1: Cellular Automata
The Road to Quantum Mechanics, Pt. 9: An Intro to Differential Geometry
The Road to Quantum Mechanics, Pt. 10: Lagrangian Mechanics
How to Discover Finite Fields While Bored in Class, Pt. 4: Fields in Abstract Algebra
The Road to Quantum Mechanics, Pt. 11: The Principle of Least Action
The Road to Quantum Mechanics, Pt. 11: The Principle of Least Action

While there have been many great computer-generated images and animations for Topology, I thought trying to figure out how to make the imprecise and wobbly diagrams I wanted for the article with precise code and the smooth curves it would generate would be difficult.

I only used manim for this animation because programmatic animations often take significantly less effort than hand-drawn animations. Even then, drawing these curves with manim was quite difficult.

In the end, I decided to draw most of the images for the article, and I quite liked the way it came out.
